Sang Won Shin

Although I keep repeating the action of placing ink on paper with the brush, the outcome of the action is always different. In this, action is repeated with varying results. Through such repetition, marks are made, and other marks are overlaid on top, creating layers that in turn create 'inverted space'. With every repetition, the inverted space becomes deeper, creating more nooks and crannies for emotions to seep in. I hope our emotions find their way into this space that reflects existence without existing, like the virtual space created in a mirror.
